PROCESS HEATING DEVELOPMENT SYSTEM A hybrid process heating simulator which can improve the product quality and manufacturing efficiencies of temperature-sensitive materials by employing RF power and convection heat is being offered by Radio Frequency Co., Inc. of Millis, Massachusetts. The Macrowave™ OmniTherm™ Simulator is a process development tool for laboratories and pilot plants that need to heat, dry, or cure temperature-sensitive materials. Developed to improve the quality and manufacturing efficiencies of products with non-uniform moisture content, the simulator can determine the scale-up requirements for actual processes. ![]() Assuring complete customer confidentiality, the Macrowave™ OmniTherm™ Simulator can plot, in real-time, the temperatures of multiple parameters such as heat, dwell time, power levels, and the product's surface-and internal temperatures. The simulator employs RF heat to preferentially heat and dry the moist areas of products. Applications include aqueous adhesives, baked goods, pharmaceutical, synthetic foams, and textiles.
