New Macrowave™ Bulk Pasteurization Systems Available

From Radio Frequency Company

Radio Frequency Company's New Macrowave™ Pasteurization Systems are ideal for bulk applications for bagged or conveyed loose product. In a radio frequency heating system, the RF generator creates an alternating electric field between two electrodes. The material to be treated is conveyed between the electrodes where the alternating energy causes polar molecules, such as water, in the material to continuously reorient themselves to face opposite poles much like the way bar magnets behave in an alternating magnetic field. The friction resulting from molecular movement causes the material to rapidly heat uniformly throughout its entire mass.

Radio Frequency Pasteurization Technology

The illustration above depicts a radio frequency pasteurization system with product between the electrodes. Water molecules within the product are represented by the spheres with + and - signs connected by bars.

Radio Frequency Company has developed a line of Macrowave™ Pasteurization Systems that operate at 40MHz where the depth of penetration and uniformity of heating are optimized, thereby ensuring effective microbe kill and avoiding deleterious effects on product quality.

Radio Frequency Company offers a full line of systems for the bulk pasteurization and/or insect deinfestation of nut meats, various types of flour, tobacco, fishmeal, xanthan gum, and other food ingredients as well as finished products.
