Vertical Radio Frequency Web Dryers for On-Press Drying of Water Based Coatings, Adhesives and InksBenefits:
![]() Macrowave™ 980 Series Vertical Dryer Features:
Principle of R.F. DryingAn RF Dryer works very much like a microwave oven which creates high frequency vibration of water molecules which thereby selectively heats materials containing water while other materials heat very little. ApplicationsMacrowave™ drying is ideal for water-based materials: permanent adhesives, remoistenable glues, pressure sensitive glues, and heat activatable glues. Continuous envelopes, business forms, labels, mailers, catalog inserts, and packaging materials are typical product applications. Full-coverage or pattern coatings are efficiently dried. Examples are: gloss coatings on packaging and publications materials, carbonless coatings on business forms, barrier coatings and ink adhesion coatings on plastic film. Water-based inks can be dried on the Model 980 series units. Single or double pass systems are available for drying at each print station or ad the end of the press. Process Development assistance is available at RFC's laboratory testing facility, which is equipped with the Macrowave™ OmniTherm™ Simulator. Founded in 1946, Radio Frequency Company specializes in developing and manufacturing high frequency heating systems to improve efficiency in many industrial applications. RFC is a technological leader in the development of R.F. heat processing systems and is known for the highest standards of quality in equipment and service.
